May updates: keep ‘em coming

What's new 1 min read

We’re at the end of May, so that means there are some new features and improvements again. In that way our monthly feature update can’t be left behind of course! You can read all about it here!

More customization options

Always wanted the buttons in the meeting room and scheduler to have your own company colors? Well, you can now customize the color scheme of your meeting rooms and booking pages by adding custom CSS to the ‘Custom HTML head block’ in your team settings. It needs a little bit of technical skill, but this help article walks you through!

Vectera

Also, there's a "minimized layout" of the meeting rooms available for custom integrations. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with the team at team@vectera.com for more information!

Improved video performance

From now on, we use a smart algorithm to choose the best available video encoding standard depending on the device you use in Vectera.

In plain English: when two or more people on Android devices have a Vectera meeting, the video codec will automatically switch to the most power-efficient. This will reduce CPU usage (and thus reduce heating of the device) and will improve the overall video performance!

Other improvements

  • You can now choose to redirect clients immediately or with a 3-second delay to a specific page when the meeting ends. Learn more about the redirect option.
  • It’s now even easier than before to install the Vectera Helper extension. Need to refresh your memory? This help article shows all possibilities with the extension.
  • We’ve been updating our help center with up-to-date images of existing and recent features!

Lastly, we would like to highlight that we look forward to your feedback. Our main goal still is to improve your experience with creating online meeting rooms. Eager to get going? Log into your account or get started with a free, fully featured trial of Vectera.
